Real Madrid Shifts Focus from Mbappe to Europe’s ‘Enchanting Striker’

Dusan Vlahovic arrived at Allianz Stadium in January 2022 from Fiorentina as one of the most promising young strikers in the world at that time. However, his performance at Juventus was like a rollercoaster, alternating between bright moments and times when the Serbian striker disappointed. In particular, last season, he scored 14 goals in all competitions, a number lower than this player’s potential.

However, the current 2023/24 season has started differently for Vlahovic, who has scored four goals and contributed one assist in his first four appearances.

Real Madrid are closely monitoring the development of the striker born in 2000 and may be considering a move in the January transfer window. Oddly, Los Blancos turned down the chance to sign Vlahovic last summer.

Real Madrid’s interest in Vlahovic dates back to his days at Fiorentina, but to date, the club has not made a final decision. However, the situation could change if president Florentino Perez’s main target – Kylian Mbappe, extends his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG intend to offer Mbappe a lucrative contract in the coming weeks, which will cause Real Madrid to look at alternatives in the market. Dusan Vlahovic appears to be one of the frontrunners and it has been suggested that a January transfer is possible.

Real Madrid is also looking for other options to find a striker. Therefore, Vlahovic’s future is related to Real Madrid’s final decision with Kylian Mbappe and how the transfer situation develops in the coming weeks.
